Worship at Glendale Presbyterian is “imperfectly perfect.” Worship is grounded in traditional liturgy but flexible, gracious, and full of laughter.  While we take worship seriously, we do not take ourselves too seriously, and therein is the sweet moment of grace.

What is worship about?

  • “The Churchy answer” and an excellent one: Through the reading and hearing of Scripture, the word preached, and the celebration of the sacraments: Holy Eucharist (aka the Lord’s Supper or Communion) and baptism, God in Christ is present by the Holy Spirit acting to transform, empower, and sustain human lives.

  • “The GPC answer” and an excellent one: Worship is about making space for all to gather in community to give thanks to God, to ask questions, to learn, to offer support, to celebrate, to mourn, to be encouraged & challenged in our discipleship.
