Living the Word
Multi-age Classroom for K-5th Grades - Teacher: Courtney
This class introduces our youngest disciples to the sweeping story of God and God’s people as revealed in the Bible. Living the Word: Teaching God’s Story teaches students the Story of God’s love in Scripture. Based on the Narrative Lectionary, lessons will match what students learn in their class to what they hear in worship. Living the Word also facilitates better engagement with students in the worship service and furthers discussions of faith in the home!
Colaborate by Sparkhouse
6th-8th Grades - Teacher: Emilee
Colaborate lays the foundation for the Confirmation Class of 2020. Over the next year and half students will discover the Old and New Testaments and Presbyterian History and Doctrine. Colaborate helps students answer the question, “so what? Allowing students to discover the richness of Presbyterian history and doctrine as well as the Old and New Testaments. Colaborate changes the way students think about faith and the Bible by helping youth to take an honest look at the holy mystery and the complexity of Scripture to move them onto a path of growth and discovery for a lifetime.
Children and youth begin their Sundays in worship and leave for their classes following Opening the Word with Young Disciples led by Pastor Liz. The 1st Sunday of the month is Family Worship Sunday where the congregation as a whole worships together and celebrates the Lord's Supper.
