Most of GPC’s ministries and programs fall under the leadership of the Session (the church’s ruling council). The Session consists of six Ruling Elders elected to two-year terms.
Administrative Commission oversees the areas of finances, stewardship, personnel, and buildings and grounds. Under Session oversight, the Administrative Commission organizes church investments and endowment, financial policies, planned giving, etc. It also advises the Session on budgeting and other financial issues.
Care Commission spearheads all sorts of fun activities for the GPC congregation throughout the year. They welcome new members into the church. In addition this commission provides a caring support for members in times of need.
Connect Commission works to connect the congregation to the larger community, as well as to our church worshipping community through community outreach projects and events. It also collaborates with the pastor and the music director to envision and plan engaging worship services. They design the communion table arrangements for special services, arrange all of the Sanctuary decorations, and handle the behind-the-scenes details that add so much to the celebration of worship.
Discipleship Commission oversees all of GPC mission activities and mission financial support. In addition, it organizes and supports the education and spiritual development of adults, youth, and children.
